Mrs. Thompson's AM class during mock election

Social Studies teachers were invited to have their class(es) participate in the school-wide Mock Election held on Monday, October 31st.

Teachers led their students through a special Election edition of Studies Weekly where students completed assignments on responsibility, the constitution, elections: past and present, one's path to presidency, and other topics relating to the upcoming election.

Students met Mrs. Vann, our school's iTech, on the carpet for a short mini-lesson and were then invited to cast their ballot. Like real voters, they received an "I VOTED" sticker just before taking a class picture.

Special thanks to Mrs. Blackwell, Mrs. Burke, Mrs. Caballero, Mrs. Griffin, Mrs. Hepner, Ms. Jefferson,  Ms. Lewis,  and Mrs. Thompson for bringing their students to the computer lab to experience this amazing opportunity.

Decorations were generously donated by Dedrick Dalcour of Shell Global to provide a true mock election feel for our students.
