Mrs. Rhodes, R.N.

Here are a few tips from our school nurse, Mrs. Rhodes

Tips for Staying Healthy During the School Year

*Get plenty of sleep
*Eat plenty of fruits and vegetables
*Eat breakfast daily
*Get plenty of exercise
*Avoid family and friends who are sick
*Wash your hands to prevent the spread of germs

So that we might locate you in a timely manner, please keep home, work and cell phone numbers current for all persons listed on your child's emergency card.

Parents will be notified and students will be sent home if the student has a temperature of 100, undetermined skin rash, lice infestation, infection of the eye, vomiting and/or diarrhea.

Student Medication
All medications must be brought to the clinic by the parent or guardian. Only a parent or guardian will be allowed to pick up any unused medication. No medication will be sent home with a student. All medications sent to school must be brought to the clinic in their original container. Medication to be given more than 10 days must have a physician's order prescribing the medication. It is the parent's responsibility to maintain an adequate supply of medication and to inform the school nurse in writing of changes in dosage, frequency, or if the medication is discontinued.
